Mid 70's, the sun was out and smiling as bright as it ever been. It was my first day behind the wheel by myself. I was excited as I had just come back from White Marsh Mall. With a bag of clothes by my side, windows down, my favorite music blasting and the wind running across my face. In late summer of 2007, things could not have been better.
Going down route 47, coming to Eastern Blvd to go home, I was 5 minutes from home when I noticed a brown blob coming to my driver side. THUMP and a shove was what I felt. I was so surprised, I looked back at the mirror and I could not believe it. There was not one, but two deer! Blood flowing rapidly through my body, I had no intention to pull over and look at my car. I continued to drive and was nervous to check the damage while at the same time so excited to see if it was anything significant.
I arrive at my driveway, pulling up slower than usual. I got out of the car, took a deep breath and looked at my rear side panel. OMFG was all that ran through my head. There were 2 big dents near my gas tank cover. How can this happen to me!? What were the chances of 2 deer out at 3 in the afternoon? I so was nervous on what my parents were going to say, especially since it was in my first day of driving and also my car at the time was new. Regardless, I had to deal with it.
I slowly walked up to the door, took an even deeper breath and walked in.
